Invenţia se referă la un produs care conţine fibre vitroase, artificiale, formate dintr-o compoziţie care include, în greutate, oxizi: 32...42% SiO 2 , 18...28% Al 2 O 3 , 10...30% CaO, 5...20% MgO, 5 până la sub 10% FeO, până la 10% Na 2 O, plus K 2 O, 0,5...4% TiO 2 , până la sub 8% alte elemente, sub 68% SiO 2 , plus Al 2 O 3 , compoziţia având o viscozitate, la 1400°C, de 12...17 Poise, iar fibrele având o viteză de dizolvare de cel puţin 20 nm pe zi, determinată la pH 4,5 şi o temperatură de sinterizare de cel puţin 800°C.
